A little while back Allied Artists Music Group hired us to produce animated segments for Rocky Kramer’s "Rock Star" music video. We had a lot of fun creating the “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?”/ “Space Jam” blend of animation and live-action. Now that the video’s out we put together a little behind-the-scenes video on how we did the animation, compositing and VFX for it. ...And here's the full music video!

Our hearts go out to all the employees of Kyoto Animation, their families, friends, and everyone affected by this horrible tragedy. If you haven't heard about it, here's the news story. Also, Sentai Filmworks is running a GoFundMe to help support those impacted.
This is truly a dark day in the history of animation. Our thoughts and prayers go out to KyoAni, the victims, the survivors, and their families and friends. Neko’s back to doing her tutorials and today she’s showing her technique for creating dynamic pixel animation as seen in Doggo’s Special Attack. These techniques actually work for any kind of hand-drawn animation: traditional animation, pixel animation, anime, you name it! Although Neko’s using Clip Studio Paint Ex for this tutorial, the process will work with almost any 2d animation software, or no software at all! Most of this will work just as well with pencil and paper (you might miss having an undo button though). ^_^ Whether you’re an animator looking to learn a new trick or two, or you’re just curious about what went into making the Retro RPG Sequence for episode 1, you may wanna check out Neko’s video. In preparation for the official launch of PlotQuest, we’re going to start releasing at least one video a month (animation previews, behind-the-scenes, tutorials, etc.) These may come out sooner than – or in between – our bi-weekly updates, so if you’d like to stay up-to-date on the latest Popcorn Sundae stuff please subscribe to our channel… or don’t, it’s a free country, you be you!
